Dubai To Feature In 4-Part International TV Series

Dubai is the feature destination of a new 4-part TV series to be launched on the Seven Network.

The series, MY DUBAI, has separate themes for each episode… culture, family attractions, food and gastronomy delights, and events.

Produced by Grainger TV on assignment for Dubai Tourism, the series has been filmed on multiple shoots since December 2014, when the Dubai International Film Festival was covered.

The cultural episode features a recreated Bedouin camp with a Bedouin elder giving insight into their rich culture, the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the gold and spice souks, pearl museum, art of caligraphy, tea houses, and the Emirati style of dressing.

The Events special features National Day, concerts starring Sting, James Blunt and Katy Perry, the world’s richest horse race the Dubai Cup, the Dubai Art Festival, the Dubai Literature Festival and Polo championships.

The Food and Gastronomy program covers Dubai’s rich international dining scene, its food festival, Beach Canteen, the secret squirrel blogger, food tours of exotic restaurants, and genuine Emirati cuisine.

The special covering Dubai’s diverse range of family activities covers the Atlantis on the Palm resort with its dolphins, seals and water park, desert experiences such as dune bashing, falcon flying and camel riding, indoor skiing, the world’s largest shopping mall, and Kidzania.

Additional to the 4 TV programs, Grainger TV produced 30

1-minute social media reports, starring presenter, Kate Fitzsimons, and covering the diverse range of activities that can be experienced in Dubai.

Says GraingerTV producer Greg Grainger: “It was a joy producing this series, getting behind Dubai’s glitzy façade and experiencing the real Dubai. We featured some wonderful characters, and got to take part in a wide range of wonderful activities and events.”

MY DUBAI begins screening on 7TWO on Sunday August 2, 2015, with its international launch at the MIPCOM TV festival in Cannes in October 2015.
